John Baggot - WINTERS ASH (and Winters Close)
are both original compositions for Soundbeam by the talented Composer, Producer and Musician, John Baggott. John is a regular collaborator, writer and performer with seminal bands Massive Attack and Portishead and has composed and recorded Grammy nominated albums with Robert Plant.

Pete Judge - NOCTULE
An opportunity to perform alongside the fantastic composer and multi-instrumentalist Pete Judge.

Spindle Ensample - OKEMAH SUNDOWN
This beautiful and original piece from the Spindle Ensemble is reminiscent of the works of Ennio Morricone (most famous perhaps for his scores for Sergio Leone’s great spaghetti westerns of the 1960’s)

Red Deer Sleeping - FLINT
This beautiful piece of music and simple film are the creation of ‘Red Dear Sleeping’, at the heart of the song is the Christina Rossetti poem ‘An Emerald is as green as grass’ (written c.1892)

We've had some great feedback and a review of the new Soundsets from Mike Whitlock of Victoria Education, Poole.  Here's some of Mike's favourites with a few playing ideas as well.

A Jungle Walk – BRILLIANT, perfect for our A.S.D. and pre-formal classes great video clips a real winner that will be used a lot.

Flint – Beautiful song, the new 2 wooden spoons, great for our students to learn about leaving spaces in music (not playing when the vocals are singing)

G-Jam – another great lesson in a sound-set, you’ve done the lesson planning for us with this one and I can see it being used a lot.

Ibiza Dance Mix – Very popular with the students, great video clip, great samples on the switches.Love Song – Love it!! Very popular with all

Noctule – LOVE IT, thinking of using this one for a new assembly piece.

Okemah Sundown – I Think this one is our favourite in every way, we (the teachers) love it and so did the students, beautiful tune, beautiful samples and perfect video clip, a real winner.

Pachelbel Canon X2, much used here so nice to have the 2 versions, always used when new orchestra members join us and we have used it to demonstrate how many pop songs come from it so another winner.

Songs of Rescue – another great all-rounder, perfect for A.S.D. pre-formal and those students that have higher learning level as well, love that it has several choices of video clip.

Winters Ash & Winters Close – same as above, an all-rounder, winters ash with its choice of Video and love the way you’ve made the first 4 switches an instrument for one player or (as we did) give 4 students a switch each and conduct, lots of fun.
