Soundbeam Exhibits: case study 2

Dark Matter

Paul Frieldander’s Dark Matter is a 25 foot high, interactive, luminous dynamic light sculpture. The fluid glowing waveform was suspended from the ninety foot high ceiling of this extraordinary exhibition space. Two Soundbeam sensors hidden in the pyramid like structure detect gestures and control the sculpture.

"I was quietly taking photographs in the empty hall when she came in alone and entirely without hesitation moved towards the installation and raised her arms to interact with it"
Paul Friedlander
